How much does it cost?

It costs $3.00 an inch. The first factor in determining how much it will cost is the size of the stump. The stump is measured at its widest point above the ground. For example, a 25-inch-wide stump would be $75.00 (which is the minimum price charged.)  Clean-up is done by the homeowner. Price is based on stumps that protrude less than one foot out of the ground, additional fees may apply for higher stumps. A firm price will be quoted before any work begins.

The number of stumps is taken into consideration when quoting a price.

How deep do you grind down the stump?

Typically, four to six inches depending on the terrain.  In most cases, Dig Safe (811) needs to be called.

Central and Southern New Hampshire and parts of Massachusetts.

Are you insured?

Yes.

Would you come out for one stump?

Yes, but the job will be scheduled along with other small jobs for that day and there is a $75.00 minimum charge regardless of the size of the stump. In other words, a single stump less than 25 inches would be $75.00

Does the machine damage my lawn?

No, it's comparable to a lawn mower.
